[536] **Invited, asked again and again, he answered the question**: "Invited" (ajjhiṭṭho) means requested (ajjhesito). "Asked again and again" (puṭṭho puṭṭho): asked means questioned, begged, requested, prevailed upon (pasādito). "He answered the question" (pañhaṃ byākāsi): he answered the question — he explained it, taught it, declared it, established it, disclosed it, analyzed it, made it plain, and revealed it. Therefore it is said: "Invited, asked again and again, he answered the question."
