[600] **Who taught me the Dhamma** (yo me dhammamadesesi): "Who" (yo): that Blessed One, self-become (sayambhū), without a teacher, who by himself fully awakened to the truths among dhammas never heard before, and who attained therein omniscience and attained mastery over the powers (bala).
**Taught the Dhamma**: "the Dhamma" (dhamma): the holy life (brahmacariya) that is good in the beginning, good in the middle, good in the end, with its meaning and with its phrasing, entirely complete and pure; the establishments of mindfulness (satipaṭṭhāna) … the noble eightfold path (magga), Nibbāna, and the practice leading to Nibbāna — this he declared, taught, made known, established, disclosed, analyzed, made plain, and revealed. Thus: "who taught me the Dhamma."
