[627] **"Revering, I pass the night" (namassamāno vivasāmi rattiṃ):** "Revering" means revering with the body, or revering with speech, or revering with the mind (citta), or revering through practice in accordance with the goal (anvatthapaṭipatti), or revering through practice of the Dhamma in conformity with the Dhamma (dhammānudhammapaṭipatti); honoring, respecting, esteeming, and venerating, I dwell — I pass the time — night and day. Therefore: "Revering, I pass the night."
