[632] **"To whatever quarter the one of broad wisdom goes" (yaṃ yaṃ disaṃ vajjati bhūripañño):** "To whatever quarter" (yaṃ yaṃ disaṃ) — to the eastern quarter, or the western quarter, or the southern quarter, or the northern quarter, he goes, proceeds, advances, passes beyond. "Of broad wisdom" (bhūripañño): he is of wisdom broad as the earth (bhūripañña), of great wisdom (mahāpañña), of sharp wisdom (tikkhapañña), of wide wisdom (puthupañña), of joyous wisdom (hāsapañña), of swift wisdom (javanapañña), of penetrative wisdom (nibbedhikapañña) — [hence:] "to whatever quarter the one of broad wisdom goes."
