[650] **Having heard the word of the Muni (sutvāna munino vaco):** "Muni" — knowledge (ñāṇa) is called sagacity (mona); that is, the wisdom (paññā) which is understanding … having passed beyond the net of attachment (saṅgajāla), he is a muni.
"Having heard the word of the Muni" means: having heard, having listened to, having learned, having borne in mind, and having discerned your word, your way of speech, your teaching (desanā), and its sequential connection (anusandhi) — thus, "having heard the word of the Muni."
