[661] **Surely I shall go; concerning this I have no doubt.** In the phrase "Surely I shall go" (addhā gamissāmi): surely I shall go, I shall attain, I shall touch, I shall realize — thus, "surely I shall go."
"Concerning this I have no doubt" (na mettha kaṅkhā): here, concerning Nibbāna, there is no doubt (kaṅkhā), there is no uncertainty (vicikicchā), there is no perplexity, there is no indecision; it does not exist, it is not found; it has been abandoned, cut off, calmed, tranquilized, rendered incapable of arising again, burned up by the fire of knowledge (ñāṇa) — thus, "surely I shall go; concerning this I have no doubt."
