[70] **Streams flow everywhere** (savanti sabbadhi sotā). **Streams** (sotā): the stream of craving (taṇhā), the stream of views (diṭṭhi), the stream of defilements (kilesa), the stream of misconduct (duccarita), the stream of ignorance (avijjā). **Everywhere** (sabbadhi): in all the sense bases (āyatana). **They flow** (savanti): they flow, they stream, they glide along, they proceed. From the eye they flow, stream, glide along, and proceed into forms; from the ear they flow into sounds; from the nose they flow into odours; from the tongue they flow into tastes; from the body they flow into tangibles; from the mind they flow, stream, glide along, and proceed into mental phenomena. Craving for forms flows, streams, glides along, and proceeds from the eye; craving for sounds flows, streams, glides along, and proceeds from the ear; craving for odours flows from the nose; craving for tastes flows from the tongue; craving for tangibles flows from the body; craving for mental phenomena flows, streams, glides along, and proceeds from the mind. Hence: "streams flow everywhere."
