[778] "Like a pārichatta tree in full leaf (sañchinnapatto yathā pārichatto)": just as the pārichattaka — the koviḷāra tree — is thick with leaves and foliage and casts dense shade, even so that Paccekasambuddha bears the complete alms-bowl (patta) and robes (cīvara). Therefore [it is said], "like a pārichatta tree in full leaf."
