[78] **"I speak of the restraint (saṃvara) of the streams"** means: I speak of the blocking, the hindering, the restraining, the guarding, and the protecting of the streams — I speak of it, tell it, teach it, make it known, establish it, disclose it, analyze it, elucidate it, and reveal it. Therefore [it is said]: "I speak of the restraint of the streams."
