[796] **Not neglecting seclusion (paṭisallāna) and jhāna** (paṭisallānaṃ jhānam ariñcamāno): that Paccekasambuddha delights in seclusion, is devoted to seclusion, is intent upon internal serenity of mind (cetosamatha), does not dismiss jhāna, does not neglect jhāna — he is engaged, applied, yoked, devoted, and fully devoted to the arising of the first jhāna that has not yet arisen; he is engaged, applied, yoked, devoted, and fully devoted to the arising of the second jhāna that has not yet arisen, or of the third jhāna that has not yet arisen, or of the fourth jhāna that has not yet arisen — thus he does not neglect jhāna.
Or else: he pursues, develops, and cultivates the first jhāna that has arisen; he pursues, develops, and cultivates the second jhāna that has arisen, or the third jhāna that has arisen, or the fourth jhāna that has arisen — thus too he does not neglect jhāna. Hence: **not neglecting seclusion and jhāna**.
