Khaggavisāṇasuttaniddesa

Suttapiṭaka · Khuddakanikāya · Cūḷaniddesa · Vol. 30 · Section 804

[804] **Not trembling at sounds, like a lion (sīhova saddesu asantasanto):** just as the lion, the king of beasts, is unfrightened at sounds — not terrified, not alarmed, not agitated, not apprehensive, without dread, fearless, not petrified, unalarmed, not fleeing — so too the Paccekasambuddha is unfrightened at sounds, not terrified, not alarmed, not agitated, not apprehensive, without dread, fearless, not petrified, unalarmed, not fleeing; having abandoned fear and dread, he dwells with horripilation gone. Hence, "not trembling at sounds, like a lion."
