[82] **"And name-and-form, dear sir" (nāmarūpañca mārisā):** "Name" (nāma) means the four immaterial aggregates (arūpino khandhā). "Form" (rūpa) means the four great elements (mahābhūtā) and the form derived from the four great elements (upādāyarūpa). **"Dear sir" (mārisa):** this is a term of affection, a term of respect; this word "mārisa" is a designation accompanied by respect and deference. Hence, "and name-and-form, dear sir."
