[88] "Where name and form cease without remainder" —
**Name** (nāma): the four immaterial aggregates (arūpino khandhā).
**Form** (rūpa): the four primary elements (mahābhūta) and the form derived (upādāyarūpa) from the four primary elements.
**Without remainder** (asesaṃ): all in every way, entirely in every respect, without remainder, with nothing left over; this word "asesaṃ" is an expression of total comprehensiveness.
**Ceases** (uparujjhati): it ceases, is stilled, comes to an end, subsides.
Hence, "where name and form cease without remainder."
