[172] What is the sense-sphere plane (kāmāvacarā bhūmi)? Taking the Avīci hell (niraya) as the limit below, and including the Paranimmitavasavattī gods above, the aggregates (khandha), elements (dhātu), sense bases (āyatana) — form, feeling (vedanā), perception, volitional formations, and consciousness — that move about within this interval and are included herein: this is the sense-sphere plane.
