[282] Which beings are incapable (abhabbā)? Those beings who are endowed with the obstruction of kamma (kammāvaraṇa), endowed with the obstruction of defilements (kilesāvaraṇa), endowed with the obstruction of result (vipākāvaraṇa), who are without faith, without zeal, and of poor wisdom, incapable of entering upon the fixed course of rightness in wholesome states — these are the beings who are incapable.
