[380] Of the contemplation of impermanence, what is the beginning, what the middle, what the culmination? … Thus the mind (citta) that has gone through the three phases and possesses the threefold goodness is both endowed with the ten characteristics and also endowed with sustained thought (vicāra), endowed with rapture (pīti), endowed with happiness (sukha), endowed with steadfastness (adhiṭṭhāna) of mind, endowed with faith (saddhā), endowed with energy (vīriya), endowed with mindfulness (sati), endowed with concentration (samādhi), and endowed with wisdom (paññā).
