[379] Of the attainment (samāpatti) of the sphere of the infinity of space (ākāsānañcāyatana), of the attainment of the sphere of the infinity of consciousness (viññāṇañcāyatana), of the attainment of the sphere of nothingness (ākiñcaññāyatana), of the attainment of the sphere of neither-perception-nor-non-perception (nevasaññānāsaññāyatana) — what is the beginning, what the middle, what the end? …
Thus the mind (citta) that has gone through the threefold course, possessing the three kinds of goodness, endowed with the ten characteristics, is endowed with equanimity, endowed with the steadying (adhiṭṭhāna) of the mind, … and endowed with wisdom (paññā).
