[378] What is the beginning, what the middle, and what the end of the fourth jhāna? … Thus the mind (citta) that has gone through the three phases (tivattagataṃ), good in three ways and endowed with the ten characteristics, is endowed with equanimity, endowed with steadiness (adhiṭṭhāna) of the mind, endowed with faith (saddhā), endowed with energy, endowed with mindfulness, endowed with concentration (samādhi), and endowed with wisdom (paññā).
