[43] The meaning of mind (citta) should be directly known (abhiññeyya); the meaning of the mind's root should be directly known; the meaning of the mind's footing should be directly known; the meaning of the mind's endeavor (padhāna) should be directly known; the meaning of the mind's success should be directly known; the meaning of the mind's resolution (adhimokkha) should be directly known; the meaning of the mind's exertion (paggaha) should be directly known; the meaning of the mind's establishment (upaṭṭhāna) should be directly known; the meaning of the mind's non-distraction (avikkhepa) should be directly known; the meaning of the mind's seeing (dassana) should be directly known.
