[44] The meaning of investigation (vīmaṃsā) is to be directly known (abhiññeyya); the meaning of investigation's root (mūla) is to be directly known; the meaning of investigation's footing (pāda) is to be directly known; the meaning of investigation's endeavor (padhāna) is to be directly known; the meaning of investigation's success (ijjhana) is to be directly known; the meaning of investigation's resolution (adhimokkha) is to be directly known; the meaning of investigation's exertion (paggaha) is to be directly known; the meaning of investigation's establishment (upaṭṭhāna) is to be directly known; the meaning of investigation's non-distraction (avikkhepa) is to be directly known; the meaning of investigation's seeing (dassana) is to be directly known.
