[495] When one attends (manasikaroto) [to things] as non-self (anattato), the wisdom faculty (paññindriya) becomes predominant. Because the wisdom faculty is predominant, one obtains the path of stream-entry (sotāpattimagga); therefore one is called a truth-devotee (dhammānusārī). Four faculties follow along with it … [flagged elision] are association conditions (sampayutta-paccaya). Through the power of the wisdom faculty there comes to be the development of the four faculties. Whosoever obtain the path of stream-entry through the power of the wisdom faculty — all of them are truth-devotees.
When one attends [to things] as non-self, the wisdom faculty becomes predominant. Because the wisdom faculty is predominant, the fruition of stream-entry (sotāpattiphala) is realized; therefore one is called one attained to right view (diṭṭhippatta). Four faculties follow along with it … [flagged elision] are association conditions. Through the power of the wisdom faculty the four faculties are developed, well developed. Whosoever realize the fruition of stream-entry through the power of the wisdom faculty — all of them are ones attained to right view.

Because the wisdom faculty is predominant, one obtains the path of once-returning (sakadāgāmimagga) … [flagged elision] the fruition of once-returning (sakadāgāmiphala) is realized; one obtains the path of non-returning (anāgāmimagga); the fruition of non-returning (anāgāmiphala) is realized; one obtains the path of arahantship (arahattamagga); the fruition of arahantship (arahattaphala) is realized; therefore one is called one attained to right view. Four faculties follow along with it; they are connascence conditions (sahajāta-paccaya), they are mutuality conditions (aññamañña-paccaya), they are dependence conditions (nissaya-paccaya), they are association conditions. Through the power of the wisdom faculty the four faculties are developed, well developed. Whosoever have realized arahantship through the power of the wisdom faculty — all of them are ones attained to right view.
