[548] How, in the sense of trueness, do the four truths have a single penetration? In nine aspects the four truths have a single penetration in the sense of trueness: the meaning of suffering (dukkha) in suffering is a meaning of trueness; the meaning of origin in the origin is a meaning of trueness; the meaning of cessation in cessation is a meaning of trueness; the meaning of path in the path is a meaning of trueness; the meaning of direct knowledge (abhiññā) in direct knowledge is a meaning of trueness; the meaning of full understanding (pariññā) in full understanding is a meaning of trueness; the meaning of abandonment (pahāna) in abandonment is a meaning of trueness; the meaning of development (bhāvanā) in development is a meaning of trueness; the meaning of realization (sacchikiriyā) in realization is a meaning of trueness. In these nine aspects the four truths are included as one in the sense of trueness. What is included as one is a unity; one penetrates that unity with a single knowledge (ñāṇa) — thus the four truths have a single penetration.
How, in the sense of not-self, in the sense of truth, in the sense of penetration, do the four truths have a single penetration?
