[550] How many characteristics (lakkhaṇa) do the truths (sacca) have? The truths have two characteristics: the characteristic of the conditioned (saṅkhata-lakkhaṇa) and the characteristic of the unconditioned (asaṅkhata-lakkhaṇa). These are the two characteristics of the truths.
