Paññāvaggacariyākathā

[717] There are another eight modes of conduct (cariyā): the conduct of seeing (dassanacariyā) belonging to right view (sammādiṭṭhi), the conduct of directing the mind upon (abhiropanacariyā) belonging to right thought (sammāsaṅkappa), the conduct of embracing (pariggahacariyā) belonging to right speech (sammāvācā), the conduct of originating (samuṭṭhānacariyā) belonging to right action (sammākammanta), the conduct of cleansing (vodānacariyā) belonging to right livelihood (sammā-ājīva), the conduct of exertion (paggahacariyā) belonging to right effort (sammāvāyāma), the conduct of establishing (upaṭṭhānacariyā) belonging to right mindfulness (sammāsati), and the conduct of non-distraction (avikkhepacariyā) belonging to right concentration (sammāsamādhi).
