"I gave a spread of leaves
to the Blessed One Siddhattha,
and all around, in service to him,
I scattered flowers.
I enjoy palaces¹ and a delightful cave
of great worth,
and flowers of great price
rain down upon my bed².
I lie upon a bed,
ornate, strewn with flowers,
and at that very moment a rain of flowers
pours down upon the bed.
In the ninety-fourth aeon (kappa) from the present
I gave that spread of leaves:
I know of no bad destination (duggati) —
this is the fruit of the spread.
These seven universal monarchs (cakkavatti),
Ṭhitāsanthāraka³ by name,
arose in the fifth aeon from the present,
sovereigns of the people.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā),
and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized;
the Buddha's teaching has been fulfilled."
Thus indeed the Venerable Elder Senāsanadāyaka spoke these verses.
