[101] The Blessed One Vipassī had a great company of people;
I was a doer of service (veyyāvaccakara), busy with every duty.
But I had no gift to offer (deyyadhamma) to the Well-Farer (Sugata), the Great Seer (mahesi);
with a clear and confident mind I paid homage at the Teacher's feet.
In the ninety-first aeon (kappa) from the present I performed that service (veyyāvacca);
I know of no bad destination (duggati) — this is the fruit of service.
And in the eighth aeon from the present I was the king Sucintiya,
endowed with the seven treasures, a universal monarch (cakkavatti) of great power.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā), and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
and the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized; the Buddha's teaching has been fulfilled.
Thus indeed the Venerable Elder Veyyāvaccaka spoke these verses.
