[170] In the delightful city of Tivarā
I was then a prince;
having received a present,
I gave it to the One at Peace (upasanta).

The Blessed One accepted it;
he touched the cloth with his hand;
Siddhattha, having accepted,
rose up into the air, into the sky.
As the Buddha was going,
the cloths streamed along behind him;
there I made my mind (citta) confident:
"The Buddha is our foremost person."
In the ninety-fourth aeon from now,
it was then that I gave that cloth;
I know of no bad destination —
this is the fruit of the gift of cloth.
In the sixty-seventh aeon from now
there was then a universal monarch (cakkavatti)
named Parisuddha,
a lord of men, of great might.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā),
and these eight liberations (vimokkha),
and the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized;
the Buddha's teaching has been fulfilled.
Thus indeed the Venerable Elder Dussadāyaka spoke these verses.
