[187] Having invited the Leader Padumuttara — like the hundred-rayed sun rising, like the radiant sun with its golden rays, gleaming like a kakudha tree —
even as I stood in my mansion, I gave to the Kinsman of the World sages' beans (isimugga) in pure honey of the small bee.
Eight hundred thousand were the disciples of the Buddha; filling the bowls of them all — and even more than that besides.
Impelled by that confidence of mind (citta), by that bright root [of merit], for a hundred thousand aeons I did not pass to a bad destination.
In the forty thousand and thirty-eight hundredth aeon, those universal monarchs of great might bore the name Mahisamanta.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā), and also these eight liberations (vimokkha), and the six superknowledges (abhiññā) have been realized; the Buddha's teaching has been done.
Thus indeed the Venerable Elder Isimuggadāyaka spoke these verses.
