[237] At the Bodhi, the supreme tree, of the Blessed One Vipassī,
with a confident mind (citta), glad at heart, I had a railing (vedikā) made.
In the ninety-first aeon (kappa) from now I had the railing made;
I know of no bad destination (duggati) — this is the fruit of the railing.
In the eleventh aeon from now I was Sūriyassama,
a universal monarch (cakkavatti) endowed with the seven treasures, of great power.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā), and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
and the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized; the Buddha's teaching has been fulfilled.
Thus indeed the Venerable Vedidāyaka the Elder spoke these verses.
