[105] The Fully Enlightened One (sambuddha), golden-hued, the recipient of oblations (āhuti),
proceeding along the street — I honored him with a nāga flower (nāgapuppha).
In the ninety-first aeon from the present, since I paid homage with that flower,
I know of no bad destination: this is the fruit of homage to the Buddha.
My defilements (kilesa) have been burned away; all existences (bhava) have been rooted out;
like an elephant that has broken its bonds, I dwell free from taints (āsava).
Welcome indeed was my coming into the presence of my Buddha;
the three true knowledges (vijjā) have been attained; the Buddha's teaching has been done.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā), and these eight liberations (vimokkha) as well,
the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized; the Buddha's teaching has been done.
Thus indeed the Venerable Nāgapupphiya Thera spoke these verses.
