[144] When the Blessed One Koṇḍañña, the Eldest of the World, the steadfast one (tādī),
was walking along the street, ferrying living beings across,
I came out from my house and lay down face-downward;
then the compassionate one, the Eldest of the World, stepped upon my head.
Having stepped upon my head, the Leader of the World went on his way;
through that confidence of mind (cittappasāda) I went to Tusita.
My defilements (kilesa) have been burned away; all existences (bhava) have been rooted out;
like a she-elephant that has severed her tether, I dwell free of taints (āsava).
Welcome indeed was my coming into the presence of the Best of Buddhas:
the three true knowledges (vijjā) have been attained; the Buddha's teaching (sāsana) has been done.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā), and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
and the six superknowledges (abhiññā) have been realized; the Buddha's teaching has been done.
Thus indeed did the bhikkhunī Saṅkamanadā speak these verses.
The Apadāna of the Therī Saṅkamanadā is concluded.
