[67] At that time the Fully Awakened One (sambuddha) named Sobhita
dwelt on Mount Cittakūṭa;
taking a mountain punnāga flower (giripunnāga),
I worshipped the Self-Awakened One (sayambhū).
In the ninety-fourth aeon (kappa) from now
I worshipped the Fully Awakened One;
I know of no bad destination (duggati) —
this is the fruit of worship of the Buddha (buddhapūjā).
My defilements (kilesa) have been burned away;
all existences (bhava) have been uprooted;
like an elephant that has sundered its bonds,
I dwell without taints (anāsava).
Welcome indeed was my coming
into the presence of my Buddha;
the three true knowledges (vijjā) have been attained;
the Buddha's teaching (sāsana) has been fulfilled.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā)
and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
and the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized;
the Buddha's teaching has been fulfilled.

Thus indeed the Venerable Elder Giripunnāgiya spoke these verses.
