[283] What on that occasion is rapture (pīti)? That which on that occasion is rapture, gladness (pāmojja), rejoicing, delight, mirth, merriment, felicity, elation, satisfaction of mind (attamanatā cittassa) — this is the rapture there is on that occasion.
