[597] Which is that form (rūpa) that is internal, not co-existent with mind (na-citta-sahabhu)? The eye sense base (cakkhāyatana) … the body sense base (kāyāyatana) — this is that form that is internal, not co-existent with mind. Which is that form that is external, co-existent with mind (citta-sahabhu)? Bodily intimation (kāya-viññatti), verbal intimation (vacī-viññatti) — this is that form that is external, co-existent with mind. Which is that form that is external, not co-existent with mind? The form sense base (rūpāyatana) … edible food (kabaḷīkāra āhāra) — this is that form that is external, not co-existent with mind.
