[683] Which phenomena (dhammā) are arisen (uppannā)?
Those phenomena which are born, become, fully born, produced, fully produced, manifested, arisen, fully arisen, risen up, fully risen up, arisen, included in the category of the arisen — form (rūpa), feeling (vedanā), perception (saññā), volitional formations (saṅkhārā), consciousness (viññāṇa) — these phenomena are arisen.
Which phenomena are not arisen (anuppannā)?
Those phenomena which are not born, not become, not fully born, not produced, not fully produced, not manifested, not arisen, not fully arisen, not risen up, not fully risen up, not arisen, included in the category of the not-arisen — form, feeling, perception, volitional formations, consciousness — these phenomena are not arisen.
Which phenomena are bound to arise (uppādino)?
The results (vipāka) of wholesome (kusala) and unwholesome (akusala) phenomena whose results have not yet ripened — belonging to the sense sphere (kāmāvacara), the form sphere (rūpāvacara), the formless sphere (arūpāvacara), or the unincluded (apariyāpanna): the aggregate of feeling (vedanā-kkhandha) … the aggregate of consciousness (viññāṇa-kkhandha); and whatever form will arise because kamma has been performed — these phenomena are bound to arise.
