[709] Therein, what is the taint of sensuality (kāmāsava)? That which, with regard to sensual pleasures (kāmesu), is sensual desire (kāmacchanda), sensual lust (kāmarāga), sensual delight (kāmanandī), craving for sensual pleasures (kāmataṇhā), sensual affection (kāmasineha), sensual fever (kāmapariḷāha), sensual infatuation (kāmamucchā), sensual cleaving (kāmajjhosāna) — this is called the taint of sensuality.
