[829] Which phenomena (dhammā) are of the form sphere (rūpāvacarā)?
Making the Brahma world (brahmaloka) the limit below and including the Akaniṭṭha devas above, whatever phenomena of mind (citta) and mental factors (cetasika) within this interval have their sphere here and are included here — belonging to one who has attained (samāpanna), or to one who has been reborn (upapanna), or to one who dwells in happiness in this very life (diṭṭhadhammasukhavihārī) — these phenomena are of the form sphere.
Which phenomena are not of the form sphere?
Phenomena of the sense sphere (kāmāvacarā), phenomena of the formless sphere (arūpāvacarā), and unincluded phenomena (apariyāpannā) — these phenomena are not of the form sphere.
