[849] Therein, what is the speculative view about the past (pubbantānudiṭṭhi)? The view (diṭṭhi) that arises with reference to the past (pubbanta) — the resort to views (diṭṭhigata) … the perverted grasp (vipariyesaggāha) — this is called the speculative view about the past. Therein, what is the speculative view about the future (aparantānudiṭṭhi)? The view that arises with reference to the future (aparanta) — the resort to views … the perverted grasp — this is called the speculative view about the future.
