[1004] Therein, which are the six views (diṭṭhi)?
The view arises in him as true and established: "A self (attā) exists for me"; or the view arises in him as true and established: "No self exists for me"; or the view arises in him as true and established: "I perceive self with self"; or the view arises in him as true and established: "I perceive not-self (anattā) with self"; or the view arises in him as true and established: "I perceive self with not-self"; or the view arises in him as true and established: "This self of mine is that which speaks and feels, which experiences here and there, for a long time, the result (vipāka) of good and evil states (dhammā); that self was not born, it did not come to be; it will not be born, it will not come to be; it is permanent, stable, eternal, not subject to change." These are the six views.
