[1018] Therein, which are the eight doctrines of non-percipience (asaññivāda)? "The self (attā) has form (rūpī), unimpaired (aroga) after death" — they declare it to be non-percipient (asaññī). "The self is formless (arūpī), unimpaired after death" — they declare it to be non-percipient. "The self both has form and is formless, unimpaired after death" — they declare it to be non-percipient. "The self neither has form nor is formless, unimpaired after death" — they declare it to be non-percipient. "The self is finite (antavā), unimpaired after death" — they declare it to be non-percipient. "The self is infinite (anantavā), unimpaired after death" — they declare it to be non-percipient. "The self is both finite and infinite, unimpaired after death" — they declare it to be non-percipient. "The self is neither finite nor infinite, unimpaired after death" — they declare it to be non-percipient. These are the eight doctrines of non-percipience.
