[1024] Therein, which are the nine perturbations (iñjita)? ‘I am’ (asmi) — this is a perturbation; ‘it is I’ (aham asmi) — this is a perturbation; ‘I am this’ (ayam aham asmi) — this is a perturbation; ‘I shall be’ (bhavissaṃ) — this is a perturbation; ‘I shall be possessed of form’ (rūpī) — this is a perturbation; ‘I shall be formless’ (arūpī) — this is a perturbation; ‘I shall be percipient’ (saññī) — this is a perturbation; ‘I shall be non-percipient’ (asaññī) — this is a perturbation; ‘I shall be neither percipient nor non-percipient’ (nevasaññī-nāsaññī) — this is a perturbation.
