[26] Therein, what is the consciousness aggregate (viññāṇakkhandha)? Whatever consciousness (viññāṇa) there is — past, future, or present; internal or external; gross or subtle; inferior or superior; far or near — having gathered it together and compressed it into one: this is called the consciousness aggregate.
