[264] Therein, what is clinging (upādāna) with craving (taṇhā) as condition? Clinging to sensuality (kāmupādāna), clinging to views (diṭṭhupādāna), clinging to rules and observances (sīlabbatupādāna), clinging to a doctrine of self (attavādupādāna) — this is called clinging with craving as condition.
