[556] Therein, what is the energy factor of awakening (vīriya-sambojjhaṅga)? That which is the mental (cetasika) arousing of energy (vīriyārambha) … right effort (sammāvāyāma), the energy factor of awakening, a path factor (maggaṅga), included in the path (maggapariyāpanna): this is called the energy factor of awakening.
