[573] Therein, what is right action (sammākammanta)? Abstinence (veramaṇī) from the destruction of life (pāṇātipāta), abstinence from taking what is not given (adinnādāna), abstinence from misconduct in sensual pleasures (kāmesu micchācāra) — this is called right action.
