[6] Therein, which form (rūpa) is inferior? Whatever form is scorned, despised, disdained, disparaged, and not held in esteem by these and those beings; is inferior, thought to be inferior, commonly deemed inferior; undesirable, unlovely, disagreeable — namely, forms, sounds, smells, tastes, and tangible objects: this is called inferior form.
Therein, which form is superior? Whatever form is not scorned, not despised, not disdained, not disparaged, and is held in esteem by these and those beings; is superior, thought to be superior, commonly deemed superior; desirable, lovely, agreeable — namely, forms, sounds, smells, tastes, and tangible objects: this is called superior form.
Or else, taking this and that form in turn for comparison, form should be seen as inferior or superior.
