[7] Therein, what is form (rūpa) that is far? The femininity faculty (itthindriya) … edible food (kabaḷiṅkāra āhāra); or whatever other form there is that is not adjacent, not close by, far, not near — this is called form that is far.
Therein, what is form that is near? The eye sense base (cakkhāyatana) … the tangible-object sense base (phoṭṭhabbāyatana); or whatever other form there is that is adjacent, close by, not far, near — this is called form that is near.
Or else, taking this or that form in comparison with one another, form is to be seen as far or near.
