[611] "Devoted to the practice of developing the phenomena partaking of awakening (bodhipakkhikā dhammā)": herein, which are the phenomena partaking of awakening? The seven factors of awakening (bojjhaṅga): the awakening factor of mindfulness (sati-sambojjhaṅga), the awakening factor of investigation of dhammas (dhammavicaya-sambojjhaṅga), the awakening factor of energy (viriya-sambojjhaṅga), the awakening factor of rapture (pīti-sambojjhaṅga), the awakening factor of tranquility (passaddhi-sambojjhaṅga), the awakening factor of concentration (samādhi-sambojjhaṅga), the awakening factor of equanimity (upekkhā-sambojjhaṅga) — these are called the phenomena partaking of awakening. He cultivates, develops, and makes much of these phenomena partaking of awakening. Therefore it is said: "devoted to the practice of developing the phenomena partaking of awakening."
