[706] "Neither percipient nor non-percipient" (nevasaññīnāsaññī): he attends to that very sphere of nothingness (ākiñcaññāyatana) as peaceful; he develops the attainment with a residue of formations (saṅkhārāvasesa-samāpatti). Therefore he is called "neither percipient nor non-percipient."¹
