[799] Bases of knowledge (ñāṇavatthu) by way of the fivefold division: right concentration (sammāsamādhi) with five factors; right concentration with five knowledges (ñāṇa). Thus there are bases of knowledge by way of the fivefold division. Bases of knowledge by way of the sixfold division: wisdom (paññā) in the six superknowledges (abhiññā). Thus there are bases of knowledge by way of the sixfold division. Bases of knowledge by way of the sevenfold division: the seventy-seven bases of knowledge. Thus there are bases of knowledge by way of the sevenfold division. Bases of knowledge by way of the eightfold division: wisdom in the four paths (magga) and in the four fruitions (phala). Thus there are bases of knowledge by way of the eightfold division. Bases of knowledge by way of the ninefold division: wisdom in the nine attainments of the successive abidings (anupubbavihāra-samāpatti). Thus there are bases of knowledge by way of the ninefold division.
